Sylvia Meléndez Klinger
Sylvia Meléndez Klinger, DBA, MS, RDN, LDN, CPT, is an award-winning author and global nutrition entrepreneur. Dr. Sylvia Klinger is the founder of Hispanic Food Communications, a nutrition communications and culinary consulting company. Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Mexico City, Sylvia is bilingual in English and Spanish and has over 35 years of professional experience in the areas of weight management, plant-based nutrition, maternal and lactation nutrition, cultural diversity, and optimal wellness and disease prevention. Sylvia is a leading expert in cross-cultural Hispanic nutrition and health issues.

Sylvia has an impressive record and knowledge of Hispanic foods and culture, enhanced by continued education in current nutritional research and frequent immersion in Hispanic communities. She uses her in-depth culinary and cultural expertise to introduce new strategies for wellness to an increasingly health-conscious population. Her Hispanic background has fueled her passion for nutrition, which has led her to empower and encourage those in her community through the foods (recipes) they make in their kitchens.

It has been through the study of nutrition and Sylvia’s experiences growing up in a Hispanic home that she has realized the power nutrition has—the power to bring people together, no matter who they are or where they come from. Jean LaMantia, RD, is a registered dietician, cancer survivor, author and speaker. She has been a dietitian for 30+ years and has written three books on the topics of cancer, lymphedema, and intermittent fasting. Jean has worked in in-patient, diabetes education, home care, health club, and now her virtual private practice and online school. Jean has been a repeat invited speaker for the National Lymphedema Network as well as the Canadian Lymphedema Framework national conferences.
